About

Real options analysis is a methodological framework used for evaluating strategic investment opportunities under conditions of uncertainty. It investigates the value of managerial flexibility by modeling potential future actions as "real options," analogous to financial options, which grant management the right, but not the obligation, to adapt decisions (such as deferring, expanding, contracting, or abandoning a project) in response to evolving market information, thereby capturing the dynamic value often overlooked by traditional static valuation methods.
